wanted to send you a quick email to tell you about a lesson
that I learned many years ago, and how you can use it to
double, triple, quadruple, etc. your own online business
immediately.
Ok, way back when I got started online, I ran a health and
fitness website. I studied everything I could about SEO.
I knew that if I could get my website to the top of Google
for related keywords, I could get a lot of traffic, and
hopefully make a lot of money.
Since my website was in the health/fitness niche,
specifically the weight loss niche, in all of my creative
brilliance, I decided the best keyword that would get me
the most traffic was the term: weight loss
I mean, heck, you'd think that would be one of the most
searched keywords in the world, right?
Well, let me tell you... It was/is!
So, I spent the next year doing everything I'd learned
about SEO. And after that year, my site landed at the #2
position in Google for the term: weight loss !
Incredible, I thought.
I was getting tens of thousands of visitors to my website,
per day, with that 1 single keyword phrase.
But wait... There was 1 minor problem.
I wasn't making any sales!
And herein lies the problem that 99% of website owners make...
They go after keywords that send a lot of traffic, and
completely neglect the fact that the traffic is full of
"browsers", NOT "buyers".
I don't know about you, but I would MUCH rather have 10
"buyers" visit my site, and buy my stuff than 100,000
"browsers" only looking to browse my website.
You see, not only are those people not buying anything from
you, but they're actually costing you money by using up
your bandwidth.
These days, I ONLY go after keywords (i.e. try to rank
well for keywords) that are going to send high quality,
buyer traffic, to my websites.
I don't mind if it's not the high volume traffic, because,
it all comes down to the quality of that traffic.
PLUS, these keywords are 100x EASIER to rank in Google
anyway!
To find this high quality, buyer traffic, I use a new keyword
finding software program that my brother Brad recently created.
It allows me to enter a keyword, press start, and then
it returns a bunch of keywords and, flat out, tells me
whether or not it's a keyword that's going to send high
quality "buyers" to my websites.
There are a lot (and I mean A LOT) of keyword tools on the
market, but NONE of them were created to quickly and easily
find these specific types of keywords.
